Lunchtime Mini Events
When the Judging Rings pause for our scheduled lunch break each day, join us at the judging rings to take in our featured TICA Judge as they demonstrate similarities, differences, and key features of myriad cat breeds with real show cats in real time. Check out our esteemed Judges’ chosen presentations below and come prepared for an unforgettable experience!

Note: If you are an Exhibitor who would be happy for your kitty to participate in one (or more) of these lunchtime Mini Events, once you have received your Show Catalogue and noted your kitty’s assigned number a day or two before the event, please email Rachel at show.manager.cca@gmail.com with your kitty’s breed and catalogue number. Each Judge has indicated the breeds they would like to highlight for their presentation, so our Mini Events Coordinator, Rachel, will be connecting with Exhibitors
throughout each morning to solidify the line-up of participating show kitties for that days’ events. Thank you for bringing your precious kitties to participate in Kitties ‘N Blooms this year and for your willingness to participate in our Mini Events.

You do not want to miss out on our four lunch-time Mini Events this year!

SHOW HOTEL

Our show hotel is Hotel Blackfoot located at 5940 Blackfoot Trail SE Calgary AB.
Phone: 403-252-2253 or 1-800-661-1151
Rates: $140 per night plus taxes until March 27, 2026 and accommodates single or double occupancy, includes a free breakfast at Greens Restaurant on site for up to two guests, and provides 15% off at Steele’s Restaurant during your stay. After this date, if available, rooms may be booked at the prevailing rates.

TICA Hotel Procedures will be in effect for this show, so Exhibitors staying at Hotel Blackfoot using the club hotel block (Calgary Cat Association Exhibitor Booking ID 32583) will constitute an acknowledgment by and consent of the exhibitor to these procedures. The pet fee has been waived for our event since all participating exhibitors agree to be held to the TICA Hotel Policy Agreement to be signed at check-in. Please make every effort to leave your room in the condition it was found, if not better. Ensure you confine spraying cats to a tent or the bathroom and clean with deodorizer prior to checking out. Show rules require that cat front and back claws are clipped. Please do this prior to arrival at the hotel to prevent damage to furniture, which can be expensive to replace/repair. Any damage done to any hotel room will be the responsibility of the exhibitor and not CCA or the Kitties ‘N Blooms show organizing committee.

Parking is free; however, Hotel Blackfoot offers a Sedan Service to and from the Calgary International Airport for a flat fee of $50.25CAD for up to 3 people in the sedan. Arrangements must be made with Hotel Blackfoot directly. Price includes taxes, but please be prepared to tip the driver directly.
If you have room in your vehicle to offer transportation between Hotel Blackfoot and Southland Leisure Center or are an exhibitor looking for someone who can offer transportation between the two during the show weekend, Exhibitors are welcome to join the related Facebook groups to make arrangements: TICA Travel Share or TICA Northwest Travel Share.
